UV measurement

Stationary UV measuring systems continuously monitor the UV radiation and regulate the UV irradiance depending on the speed. This ensures that the production process remains under constant conditions. The measurement is carried out via a PLC and a separate UV sensor, with the display and setpoint value being specified in the UCS operating display. The devices are integrated into the UV system and enable a closed control loop for a constant UV output.

UV SENSOR FUNCTION
ƒ The absolute UV radiation intensity is measured in mW/cm2 . ƒ The spectral sensitivity of the sensor provides efficient measurement of UV in the different UV ranges. ƒ Electrical interference resistance is ensured by shielding and digital transfer of the measured data from the sensor to the evaluation unit. ƒ Electrical interference is prevented by screening ƒ the sensor and digital data transfer from the sensor to the processing unit. ƒ Compressed air is used to cool the sensor which means that it is less likely to be damaged.
